Replica of Catherine Walker Navy Lace Love & War Gown

Princess Diana wore this navy lace gown, originally created by Catherine Walker, when she attended the film premiere of 'In Love and War' February 1997 to support the work of the Red Cross in Angola.
The original gown featured Riechers lace manufactured in Marck, France and was accented with satin cording. It had a scoop-neck and a deep lace covered 'open' back, and a slight mermaid hem.

This replica was created with midnight blue silk crepe and a floral motif navy lace. Navy rouleaux accents in the position of the satin cording on the original. It is fully lined in white sun silky and closes with snaps.

Diana wore gold and pearl earrings, navy pumps and carried a navy handbag. I cannot recreate those exact accessories for this outfit, however I will include the faux pearl earrings and my version of her navy handbag. (The pumps are standard Franklin Mint and will not be included.)

This gown was created to fit the Franklin Mint 16" vinyl Princess Diana, and is available to be commissioned.
