Princess Diana is modeling a replica of Christie’s Auction Lot #4. The princess wore it on several occasions, and after it was worn to the opera, it was dubbed the "Figaro" dress.
The dress resembles a two-piece dress with a black lace/faux sequin bodice and velvet skirt, with white satin collar & cuffs as perfect accents to create a tuxedo look. To further enhance the two-piece look, the lower edge of the lace on the bodice has been scalloped and extends past the waistline. The bodice is been hand beaded with black seed beads to mimic the original sequins.
The dress is fully lined in white sun silky and closes in the back with snaps. Completing the ensemble is a black handbag. The earrings are no longer available.
